Very disappointing experience. When I placed my order, the item was not listed as being on backorder. After waiting 8 days with no shipment, I checked again and discovered it was suddenly marked as backordered.
I requested to cancel the order on Saturday because I no longer could wait. On Tuesday, I was told the order could not be canceled because it had already shipped. Ironically, the shipping notification arrived only 8 minutes before the cancellation denial email. Tracking information showed the package had not actually shipped until Wednesday, a whole 24 hours later.
This makes it hard to believe that the order could not have been canceled before shipment. If the company had been transparent about inventory and availability from the start, I would have purchased elsewhere. I thought about returning the product, but after everything I went through and seeing similar experiences in other reviews, I don't trust them enough to risk being denied a refund.
